TOWNSHEND SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD MINUTES, 2019
The Townshend, Vermont School Board meets regularly on the second Monday of a given month, starting at 6:30 PM. Additional meetings may be held, if necessary. The public is invited to attend but if there is a particular issue that an individual wishes to discuss with them it is advisable that contact be made well in advance of a meeting with a request to be on the agenda and a brief synopsis of the issue before the meeting.
Draft minutes are posted here. The Townshend School Board has a website and are, therefore, expected to post items according to Vermont Open Meetings Law. What is here has been taken from the WCSU website, not gathered by physical means. Minutes are posted here as a service to Townshend voters so they may have all minutes in one base location.
As of July 1, 2019, the Townshend School District will no longer exist as a separate entity but will be combined with two other elementary schools and a middle/high school in to what is known as the West River Education District. Hereafter, one large board will oversee the entire educational program for all students from Townshend as well as from Brookline, Newfane, and Jamaica, VT.
The website for that union district is located here.
